UPDATE: In light of Cory Monteith's (Finn) tragic death of an alcohol and heroin overdose on July 13, FOX has decided to move the Glee Season 5 premiere date back one week, until Thursday, September 26.
Hold onto your knee socks, Glee fans, because FOX has just announced the premiere date for Season 5 of the sing-tastic show.
According to a June 26 press release, the show will “get vocal” on Thursday, September 19! “Will Rachel (Lea Michele) be Broadway’s next baby? Will Blaine (Darren Criss) marry Kurt (Chris Colfer)? Can the kids of New Directions win yet again at Nationals? Find out the answers to all these GLEE-related questions when a new season of the hit musical comedy launches.”
When we found out that the show was renewed for not one but two seasons, we couldn’t have been more excited. And now that the countdown to the premiere is only three months (minus a week) away, we’re DYING of joy. You might even say we’re downright gleeful. (Sorry about that. Withdrawal kicking in.)
