Due to "intense public interest," Cory Monteith's cause of death will be announced sooner than usual — but just how soon?

A Vancouver Police Dept. source says the 31-year-old Glee star's case has been put on the fast track and the results of the autopsy will be revealed early this week. "Due to the intense public interest, the toxicology will be expedited," says the source, adding that the results are expected to come in "in 2 or 3 days."

A rep for the Vancouver PD couldn't confirm exactly what day the autopsy results will be revealed, but did confirm that Cory's body is already at the city morgue. In addition, the authorities have spoken to the late actor's family about what they will do with the body after the autopsy is completed.
