Following his sudden death and subsequent autopsy, former Glee star Cory Monteith's body was cremated. But the question of what will happen to his ashes hadn't been answered — until now.

Cory's first cousin, Richard Monteith, told In Touch that the 31-year old actor's ashes will probably be scattered in the three cities that meant the most to him. "I think Cory's mom wants to spread some of the ashes in the different places he loved," Richard said. "I think she wanted to cremate him so they could spread his ashes in L.A., Vancouver, and Victoria and keep a little bit for the family."

But why exactly these three cities? We all know that Los Angeles was where he lived while working on Glee, and it's pretty safe to say that he has some amazing memories in that city, but what about the two Canadian cities?

Cory grew up in both Victoria and Vancouver, both of which are in British Columbia. Vancouver also is important because it's where the actor passed away, at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel. It's where his fans gathered to show their respect and sadness for his loss.

Whatever happens with the ashes, we just hope his family gets through this tragic time okay. We know they will honor Cory in the best way they know how.
