Glee is up for a total of four Emmys at the 2013 awards on September 22, but that’s not the only time the FOX comedy will be showcased that night. The Wrap reports that that plans are underway for some sort of Cory Monteith (Finn) tribute during the Emmys broadcast.

Cory passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on July 13, and Emmy executive producer Ken Ehrlich confirms that a tribute to the Glee star is in the works, though no concrete plans have been made quite yet.

"It's too fresh," Ken tells The Wrap.  "Definitely, there will be something. And the real question at this point is what we will do. Frankly, I think we need to wait a little bit before we can think about what we want to do."

In addition to the usual ‘In Memoriam’ sequence, Ken says that his team is bouncing around ideas for a couple of other things, as well. No one has reached out to Glee creator Ryan Murphy or any of Cory’s other connections quite yet. They want to have a bit of time to figure things out first.

"But there's no question that we'll have some inclusion of what happened, of his passing on the show."
