Glee creator Ryan Murphy is in the middle of casting for his sexy new HBO pilot, Open, and he’s just found the two actress who will portray a lesbian couple in a long-term relationship.
Former Fringe star Anna Torv and Revenge’s Jennifer Jason Leigh will play lovebirds Windsor and Holly in the Open pilot, Entertainment Weekly reports. The series, which is described as “a modern, provocative exploration of human sexuality and relationships,” is already getting major buzz.
But like with most relationships, Windsor and Holly are destined to have their ups and downs. Anna’s Windsor, who works as a yoga instructor, will “feel an instant connection” the minute she meets a hot new lady named Grace. (No word yet who is playing Grace.)
With Anna and Jennifer on board, we now know the identities of four Open actors. The Hunger Games’ Wes Bentley (minus that creepy beard, we hope) has been cast to play Evan Foster, a handsome, “arrogant and completely charismatic” fellow. Meanwhile, former Last Resort star Scott Speedman (who also played the dreamy Ben Covington in Felicity) will play Jonathan, an attractive sports marketing executive.
Obviously, Open is going to be a lot more provocative than your average Thursday afternoon Glee set, but nobody does sexy like Ryan Murphy. We can’t wait to get a chance to see the finished pilot!
