One of the biggest questions on Gleeks' minds these days is how Glee will handle the loss of actor Cory Monteith in Season 5. We already know that the death of character Finn Hudson will be addressed in the show's third episode, but in a new interview with Deadline, creator Ryan Murphy offered up more details on the tribute episode.

"At one point, we were going to have his character die after an accidental drug overdose — that was something we had considered," Ryan told the site. "But we have decided that we're not going to have him pass from that."

Ryan continues to say that fans may never find out how Finn dies, for a reason.

"The idea being, how somebody died is interesting and maybe morbid, but we say very early on in the episode, 'This episode is about a celebration of that character's life.'"

The show creator admitted that writing the episode any other way "felt really exploitative."

The Glee cast will start filming the memorial episode this week, and we're keeping our thoughts with them as they go into what is sure to be their hardest production week yet.
