Glee’s Season 5, Episode 3 tribute to Cory Monteith (Finn) will begin filming this Friday, August 23, and the cast just got their hands on the script for what is sure to be an emotional episode.  Last we heard from Jane Lynch (Sue), the Glee actress hadn’t seen the script just yet.

But as soon as Jane did get to read the tribute, she immediately took to Twitter to share her thoughts. “Just read Cory Monteith memorial episode. Most beautiful thing. Thank you, @MrRPMurphy @BFalchuk Ian Brennan,” Jane tweeted on August 21.

Glee behind-the-scenes video creator Kalen quickly chimed in with her thoughts. “I agree w/ @janemarielynch on the Cory/Finn episode script. Wonderful tribute to someone who meant so much to so many of us,” she wrote.

Earlier, Jane made a point of emphasizing what a difficult task Glee’s writers are faced with as they work to craft Cory’s tribute episode. The 31-year-old Glee star was found in a hotel room on July 13; dead of a heroin and alcohol overdose. But though the show will work anti-drug PSAs into the episode, creator Ryan Murphy says he and the writers decided not to have Finn die of a drug overdose. Instead, the exact circumstances surrounding Finn’s passing will remain vague.

We can’t even imagine how emotional it must have been to write that script — or how heartbreaking it will be for the cast to film it. Our hearts go out to the entire Glee family during this difficult time.
