It goes without saying that any song Demi Lovato will sing during her six-episode stint on Glee Season 5 is going to seriously rock our world. And now that we know her character, Dani, and Santana (Naya Rivera) will perform a duet of one of the greatest rock songs ever we’re just upset we can’t just purchase it on iTunes already! Having to be patient is hard.

Demi will make her first appearance in Season 5, Episode 2: “Tina in the Sky With Diamonds.” Demi will play a struggling-artist friend of Rachel (Lea Michele) and Santana’s, which is good news, since both of those girls could use some pals. And if Demi’s character doesn’t turn out to have sex for money, like a certain other NYC character did, all the better.

So just what song will Demi and Santana be singing together in Demi’s first episode? E! Online reports that they’ll be doing the Beatles classic, “Here Comes the Sun.” We think this is an awesome choice, since we love the idea of the two new friends doing such an optimistic tune.

Fun fact: “Here Comes the Sun” is the most downloaded Beatles song of all-time. So will the Glee version top the original in online sales? We shall see, little darling.

While we can’t wait for Demi-Naya’s vocals, we’re also hoping to eventually get a Demi-Lea duet as well, since the two are real-life besties. Lea did a bang-up job last season covering Demi’s hit “Give Your Heart a Break,” so the mere thought of those two powerhouses singing together is giving our heart some palpitations. Come to think of it, we should probably consult a physician.
