While many beloved members of Glee's original cast came back to take part in the Cory Monteith (Finn Hudson) tribute, Season 5, Episode 3: "The Quarterback", two key members weren't included in the script. If you've seen the episode, the absence of both Heather Morris (Brittany) and Dianna Agron (Quinn Fabray) was a glaring one.

So why weren't they in the episode? Well, Heather, for one thing, was heavily pregnant when the tribute was filmed so coming back would probably have been both physically and emotionally daunting (not to mention how hard it would have been to hide her baby bump!).

While the reason for Dianna Agron's absence is less clear we're guessing it's because she's busy with her movie career. However, there have been rumors Dianna didn't get an invite because of bad blood between her and other members of the show. Rumors that, being rumors, were quickly followed up with more rumors that the cast still loves their Quinn!

Whatever the real reason, Quinn's absence was keenly felt seeing as she and Finn have an intense history on the show. Honestly, not seeing either Cheerio was a big disappointment. The episode was a way to honor not just Cory's memory, but specifically the role he had on a show that has touched so many people, so it's sad such essential characters didn't say goodbye.

That said, "The Quarterback" was an overall moving tribute that had us sobbing so much we barely noticed who was and wasn't on camera.
