Following her divorce from wife Lara Embry and the sudden death of co-star Cory Monteith (Finn Hudson) earlier this summer, life just got a bit sweeter for Glee star Jane Lynch (Sue Sylvester.)

The veteran actress is expected to be honored today, September 4, with a coveted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles. Jane’s star will be lucky number 2,505, and the unveiling is scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m. PT. Glee creator and Jane’s close friend, Ryan Murphy, is expected to say a few words about our favorite cheerleading coach, and it’s possible that other Glee cast members could be on hand to help her celebrate.

Although we know Jane for her critically acclaimed work on Glee (she’s nominated for her fourth straight Emmy this year!), the 53-year-old actress has had countless other roles on film, television, and stage. Some of those highlights include parts in The 40 Year Old Virgin and Best in Show, as well as TV gigs on Two and a Half Men and Party Down. More recently, Jane played Ms. Hannigan in Broadway’s revival of Annie earlier this summer.

Clearly, this star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is more than deserved! Are you surprised that Jane is getting such a prestigious honor? Share your excitement below!
