Dianna Agron (Quinn) lost her Glee co-star and close friend Cory Monteith (Finn) about two months ago, but the 27-year-old actress says that the reality that Cory is gone for good still hasn’t quite sunk in.

The onetime Glee star whose appearances in future episodes will sadly be limited, at best spoke with Katie Couric during a recent talk show appearance. Katie, who appeared on Glee as a celebrity guest star back in 2011, asked how Dianna was holding up after the tragedy.

Dianna paused for a moment, stuttering a bit as she struggled to find words. Tears began to visibly well up in her eyes. “It’s... it’s one of those things that still doesn’t seem real,” she said. “And you just take out a new lease on life; you realize that he’s smiling down on us.”

During these difficult times, Dianna is turning to happy memories to help get her through. “We all have nothing but the truth, which is that he was one of the most amazing people that I’ve ever met,” she said. “Generous, loving, kind, and that’s how he’ll always be remembered.”

Though many of the Glee’s now-graduated seniors will be returning for Season 5, Episode 3: “The Quarterback,” the show’s Cory Monteith tribute, Dianna has said that she was not asked to participate in the episode. While we would have like to see her on the screen, we’re sure that Quinn’s presence will be felt in spirit.

Guys... watching the Cory tribute is going to be so intense. Making it through with dry eyes doesn’t even seem like a possibility.
