Blaine (Darren Criss) knew he wanted to propose to Kurt (Chris Colfer) in Glee's September 26’s Season 5 premiere, he just needed a little bit of help to do it! Blaine and his best friend, Sam (Chord Overstreet), sang a duet of the Beatles' "Help," and the entire purpose of the song was so that Blaine could ask a bunch of rival show choirs to help him pop the question to Kurt.

Watch the full performance below, and re-live every energetic, fun-filled second of this song. Blaine and the New Directions race around asking for help executing the perfect proposal. They enlist the help of Vocal Adrenaline, then rush to ask the deaf choir from back in Season 1. Finally, it's off to Blaine's old stomping grounds of Dalton Academy to ask the Warblers to pitch in.

Sadly for fans of Sebastian (Grant Gustin) — translation: us! us! pick us! — the villainous Warbler only appears in a few seconds of the song. But worry not. Actor Grant Gustin just booked a new superhero role on The CW, so he should be speeding back to our TV screens in no time.

As for that proposal, it goes off without a hitch. Kurt is on the verge of tears as he accepts Blaine's offer of marriage. Blaine puts the ring on his finger. They kiss. And the entire world lives happily ever after. (No, we are not over-exaggerating. Never. It was flawless.)

If the song comes earlier in the episode, we’re willing to bet that Blaine is consulting Sam for advice on whether or not he should go through with his proposal to Kurt. “Help. I need somebody. Help. Not just anybody. Help. You know I need someone. Help.”

Because, really, when you’re thinking about proposing to the love of your life, who better to consult than your best friend who you sort of also have feelings for but not really because he doesn’t swing that way but you guys are still really close? Phew. That was a mouthful. Are the relationships on Glee complicated, or is it just us?
