So we’re insanely jealous of everyone who had tickets to the Air Canada Centre for the We Day event in Toronto over the weekend. Not only did they get to hear new Glee guest star Demi Lovato sing — which is awesome enough — but they also witnessed a surprise duet by Demi and Glee star Darren Criss (Blaine)! Talk about an embarrassment of riches hotness.
Darren hosted the We Day concert, an event organized to celebrate youth activism, and Demi was among the pop stars scheduled to appear. Also performing live were the Jonas Brothers, Austin Mahone, Imagine Dragons, and Barenaked Ladies. So to paraphrase the JoBros, we’re burnin’ up that we didn’t get to see all these amazing artists.
If you ask us, the highlight of the entire show must have been when Darren sat down at the piano to sing and play along with Demi for her megahit, “Skyscraper.” The duo sounded incredible together. Might we suggest a duet sometime on Glee Season 5?
And the Glee connections didn’t stop there, as co-star Jacob Artist (Jake) was also a performer! Uh, what were we just saying about the concert’s dangerously high level of hotness? Plus, we love that Jacob is getting more attention as a vocalist, since his singing voice is to-die-for.
Then again, maybe it’s for the best that we weren’t in the audience, since getting to see all three Glee stars together at once might have given us a heart attack. (Get it — “heart attack”? Because that’s the name of Demi’s latest hit?)
