It all went down at Dalton Academy, the place where Kurt and Blaine first met. It’s the place where Blaine first captured Kurt’s heart with a song, and now he’s serenading him once again, this time asking for Kurt if he’ll agree to spend the rest of their lives together.
Kurt knows the proposal is coming, and initially he has his doubts. After all, he and Blaine aren’t even in their 20s yet. Is it really a good idea to get married so young? But his father, Burt (Mike O’Malley), advise him to cherish every moment with Blaine, because who knows how much time they might have left together.
Kurt steps into Dalton, and is greeted by all of the New Directions, Rachel (Lea Michele), Santana (Naya Rivera), all of the Warblers, and a number of other choirs we’ve met over the years. Blaine is wearing a suit in a ridiculous shade of goldenrod, the likes of which should only be reserved for school mascots. And his bow tie has a funny stripes on it.
But the man looks beautiful. When he opens his mouth to sing, we melt near instantly. He serenades Kurt with the Beatles’ “All You Need is Love,” and it is perfect. Truly perfect.
Blaine gives Kurt the most heartwarming and sincere proposal we’ve ever heard. (Okay, maybe it was a tad cheesy. We’re willing to accept that in these situations.) Kurt says yes. Thank goodness they didn’t make it a cliffhanger!
The two share an amazing kiss, and the world has never been a more perfect or beautiful place. Kurt and Blaine are engaged. Everything is happy. And nothing hurts.
