UPDATE: Mystery solved! (Well, mostly.) We've now seen spoiler photos of Kurt (Chris Colfer) at a tattoo parlor about to go under the needle. So unless he chickens out in the final moments, we'd say he's only of the ones who gets some new ink.
Yes, one of the ones. Glee's official synopsis for the episode says that Rachel "tries to convince Kurt they both should get tattoos." We haven't seen any photos of Rachel at the tattoo parlor just yet, but that definitely does not mean it won't happen. We hope she does get one. And if it's something to help remember Finn, all the better.
Original article: We’re only one week into Glee Season 5, but things are already off to a rip roaring start. This week FOX will air the second Beatles episode followed by the Cory Monteith/Finn Hudson tribute on October 10. After that we’ll have about a month sans Glee, but that doesn’t mean the cast isn’t filming as we type.
Season 5, Episode 4, “A Katy or a Gaga” will air in November, and now we have some info on Season 5, Episode 5 as well. Though we don’t have a title just yet, E! News revealed that viewers can expect to meet at least two new characters in this ep.
The first newbie is “a new jock/bully named Robbie who will be making life very difficult for one of the glee kids,” but right now we’re more interested in the other new face — a character named Louis. Described as “a hip and cool tattoo artist,” Louis will be giving someone in NYC some brand-new ink.
But just who is getting this tat, you ask?
We’re just speculating here, but if we had to guess we’d say that Rachel (Lea Michele) is the NYC resident opting for some ink. Keep in mind that this episode occurs only a short time after Finn’s death, and having Rachel get a tattoo in memory of Finn and what they shared together seems like a fitting way for the superstar-in-training to honor the love of her life.
Let’s also not forget that Lea herself is a fan of small but sweet tats. She has at least 13, and it was reported that she got another one in Cory’s memory after his heartbreaking death on July 13, 2013. Glee fans know that Ryan Murphy and the show’s other writers have a history of interjecting real-life events into the show’s storylines, so we wouldn’t be surprised if Rachel’s sporting a tattoo of her own soon enough.
Do you think Rachel’s bound for the tattoo parlor, or is someone else in NYC getting inked? Share your thoughts and theories below!
Glee airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET on FOX.
