Everybody’s gotta start somewhere, right? Unfortunately for Santana (Naya Rivera), her first big break in New York City involved...yeast.

“Let’s face it,” a uncharacteristically smiley Santana says at the start of the “Yeast-I-Stat” TV commercial. “There are good kinds of yeast and bad kinds of yeast.”

She reaches for the white and pink Yeast-I-Stat box and proceeds to rhyme, as one will in an awkward ad. As Santana proceeds to tell us how “bad yeast goes scat with Yeast-I-Stat” we get classic B-roll of her skipping along with a ribbon wand, leaping across a well-tended lawn, and swinging with a vacant expression only rivaled by Steve Carell’s on the 40-Year-Old Virgin movie poster.

Then, just when you think this bit can’t get any funnier, we cut back to Santana, dressed in bright teal polo surrounded by her girlfriends, saying a line that will go down in Glee history: “I like yeast in my bagel, but not in my muffin.” She flashes the camera crazy wide eyes and returns to her bagel-eating friends as we roll around on the floor laughing over bakery-themed double entendres.

We can’t lie. If this was a real product, we’d probably buy it just to support how amazing Santana is in her commercial debut. Also, anyone else hungry for a bagel?
