Glee’s just being Miley! Our favorite Fox comedy is taking on the music of Miley Cyrus in the upcoming Season 5, Episode 5: “The End of Twerk.” It’s not a Miley tribute; plenty of other artists will be featured in the episode, as well. But Glee is doing “Wrecking Ball.” And if the episode refers to twerking, you know that Miley’s presence is going to be felt throughout.
We’ve been tracking down all the spoilers we can find for the November 14 episode. Here’s a look at what we’ve uncovered so far.
Fox's basic summary of what to expect.
This episode will be sandwiched in between two tributes. November 7’s Season 5, Episode 4, “A Katy or a Gaga” features the music of Katy Perry and Lady Gaga, while November 21’s Season 5, Episode 6: “Movin’ Out” is a tribute to Billy Joel.
Over at McKinley, one of the New Directions will be bullied by a new jock named Robbie. Back in NYC, a “hip and cool tattoo artist” named Louis will give someone some new ink.
Ryan Murphy <3s Miley Cyrus.
The Glee creator took to Twitter to explain his reason for wanting to honor the pop superstar on his show. “I really love her. I think she's wildly talented and very smart,” he said. Hear that, New Directions? Get ready to twerk.
One of the current McKinley couples appears to be headed for a split.
