Glee’s stars continue to blow us with how busy they all are and how many opportunities come their way. But sadly, it has been announced that one Glee star just got slightly less busy.

The Glee stars have become adept at multitasking, as many of them have high-profile side projects in addition to Glee. Darren Criss (Blaine) has started dabbling in films with this summer’s Girl Most Likely, Chris Colfer (Kurt) is a best-selling author, Amber Riley (Mercedes) is turning heads with her fancy footwork, and Jane Lynch (Sue) has been hosting NBC’s Hollywood Game Night. Whew.

Somehow, Jane had squeezed in yet another show, as she was to provide a voice on an animated series called Murder Police, which had already gotten a 13-episode commitment from Fox. But now comes the news from TV Guide that Fox is cutting Murder Police — which would have centered on an inept detective — meaning none of the episodes will see the light of day.

So what happened that made the network execs change their mind about the show? Word has it that Fox’s chairman had seen scripts and footage from the show and wasn’t impressed. The show’s producers now hope to shop it to cable.

This is definitely a bummer, as Jane is a voiceover master, having brought to life characters in such animated flicks as Wreck-It RalphRioAlvin and the Chipmunks, and Space Chimps. Yep, she’s a pro. And besides Jane, Murder Police has another Glee connection, as it would have also featured the voice of Wilmer Valderrama, rumored to be dating Glee guest Demi Lovato (Dani).

So we’re sad about this news, but Jane has so much going on that we’re sure she’ll be just fine. (Wilmer, on the other hand, could probably use a show or two.) Do you think Fox made the right call by bailing? Or are you hoping the show ends up doing time on cable?
