Glee is currently on a break until November 7 — we know, the wait is miserable for us, too — but at least there’s a light at the end of the tunnel! When the show does return, it’s for Season 5, Episode 4: “A Katy or a Gaga,” and that means we can expect nothing but the music of Katy Perry and Lady Gaga! Um, yes please.

Fox has released its official episode synopsis of everything that’s about to go down. It reads:

The members of New Directions tackle their assignment of getting out of their comfort zones and determining whether they're more like ‘Katy’ (Perry) or (Lady) ‘Gaga.’ Kurt holds auditions for his new band and must decide if he'll let in the overly bold performer, Starchild (guest star Adam Lambert). Meanwhile, Jake gets closer to Bree (Erinn Westbrook) as he and Marley grow apart.

First of all, we love the idea of the New Ds having to pick whether or not they’re more like Katy Perry or Lady Gaga. Neither is a bad choice, obviously. Both women are huge risk takers, talented artists, and love to mix things up with crazy, colorful costumes. We can’t wait to see Glee’s take on all of that!

We already heard that American Idol vet Adam Lambert’s character will be Kurt’s rival. It sounds like they clash from pretty much the very beginning. Oh, and how about the name Starchild?! We’re not quite sure what to think about that.

Finally, we’re a bit upset to hear that Jake is already starting to fall for a Cheerio. Ugh, this really is the Puck-Rachel-Finn love triangle again all over. So is this the beginning of the end for Jarley? It’s too early to tell for sure, but considering that Marley is singing Miley Cyrus’ breakup song, “Wrecking Ball” in the very next episode, we’d say that things definitely are not looking good!
