We loved getting to meet Nurse Penny (Phoebe Strole), the bumbling but well-intentioned object of Sam's (Chord Overstreet) affection, on Glee Season 5, Episode 2. So will Penny appear in future episodes — or is she too busy from all the medical malpractice suits we’re assuming she’s getting hit with?

Penny is a sophomore in college who is serving as McKinley’s nurse through an internship, and Sam meets her while she’s injecting a sausage. Romantic, right? He later sings “Something” about her, and then they dance together at prom. All in all, Sam and Penny were downright adorable, and so we’d hope to see more of them.

Now, it looks like we’re getting our wish, as Deadline describes Penny’s role as recurring. Indeed, a Fox press release confirms that Penny will appear in Season 5, Episode 4: “A Katy or a Gaga.” Team Samny unite!

For her part, Phoebe is none too forthcoming on Twitter about her Glee future, but she does lead us to believe that we can expect more of her on the show. In a response to a Twitter follower asking if we’ll see more of her, the former Spring Awakening actress tweets on October 6:

Such a tease! But it looks like she’ll at least show up for Episode 4, and we’ll probably get a better sense from that episode of whether she and Sam are in it for a long-ish haul. For Sam’s sake, and after the failures of Samcedes and Bram, we sure hope he and Penny can make things work!
