It’s hard not to notice that, while Glee isn’t quite the phenomenon that it once was, another one of Ryan Murphy’s shows, American Horror Story, is the talk of the town. And while we would hate to see Glee part with Lea Michele, we wonder if she would be better off on AHS. Here are five reasons why Lea should say goodbye to singing and say hello to screaming.
It’s tough to see Rachel on Glee without Finn
Granted, having to watch Glee without Finn and Rachel would be downright unbearable. Still, since it will be difficult to see Rachel on Glee and know that she can never end up with Finn, there’s a small part of us that wonders if it makes sense for Lea to get a clean break from Glee.
She Loves AHS — and actually wants to be on it!
Lea is a self-avowed AHS fanatic, and earlier this month at the show’s premiere, Ryan Murphy revealed to Clevver, “Lea Michele keeps begging me to come on and play a cameo,” saying that she likes the idea of playing a witch. There you go — the process is already in motion!
AHS has never been hotter — while Glee, on the other hand...
Don’t get us wrong — we’re still in love with everything about Glee. But not as many people seem to feel similarly, as the show’s ratings continue to dissipate. Meanwhile, AHS ratings have never been higher, and the show has a ton of buzz.
It would be a great way to show her range
Lea has mainly been cast in comedic movies thus far, like New Year’s Eve and the upcoming Skylar Astin comedy Flock of Dudes, which she backed out of at the last minute following Cory Monteith’s death. But she has an incredible knack for emotional scenes, so perhaps a show that’s a little darker will allow movie casting people to think of her for more serious roles.
The AHS cast is downright amazing
With Jessica Lange announcing that she’s leaving AHS after this season, there is a definite need for a strong force to help carry the show, which could be Lea’s window. And she would join a show that’s already teeming with incredible talent, including Emma Roberts, Kathy Bates, and Gabourey Sidibe. All of those ladies have huge careers, so Lea would fit right in.
What do you think, Glee fans? Should Lea leave Glee for American Horror Story? Sound off in the comments!
