My, where does the time go? It’s hard to believe that it was almost six years ago that Adam Lambert made his first appearance on American Idol, en route to his star-making run as the show’s runner-up. He still looks damn sexy today, as his recent appearance on Glee proves, but how much has his appearance changed over the years?

Adam made his Glee debut as Elliott “Starchild” Gilbert on Season 5, Episode 4: “A Katy or a Gaga,” and there’s no question that he looks as hot as ever. Indeed, even off camera, Adam exudes his now-trademark style, including dark hair, guyliner, and stud earrings. We even love the stubble that he tends to sport these days. Yes, please.

When compared to a photo of A-Lam taken during the final week of American Idol back in 2008, it’s clear that he had a similar vibe back then, but there are some definite changes to his look. The most noticeable difference might be how young he seems back then. Don’t you just want to pinch those little cheeks?

Another big difference is his hair. Back then, his ‘do was a bit lighter, as Adam was going for the tousled look, with his bangs laying across his forehead. Nowadays, his coif is less messy and is more of the up-and-to-the-side variety. Either way, we love how tall his hair tends to be.

So the moral of the story is, Adam looked hot in 2008, and he looks hot in 2013. It’s as simple as that. But do you prefer his old style, or are you loving how he looks today?
