Jonathan stars in the upcoming HBO series Looking, which premieres on January 19, 2014, and is about three young gay males looking for love and happiness in San Francisco. Jonathan plays a somewhat clueless chap named Patrick.
"What's wrong with having a life outside of work?" Jonathan's character says to a friend while eating a burrito. "This is San Francisco — that's why I live here. If I didn't want to have a life, I'd move to L.A." Consider yourselves zinged, people of L.A.
Patrick indeed appears quite dedicated to the task of finding a new man. "I need to find a roommate," he tells a friend at a coffee place, although the friend opens up Patrick's laptop and begs to differ. "Oh, really — on OK Cupid?" the friend asks.
At one point, Patrick asks a pal, "You're in an open relationship now?" Sounds juicy!
Then, someone tells Patrick, "You have to find someone who understands you," to which Patrick replies, "That's not easy to find." Well said, dude.
But it appears that J-Groff's character won't have too much trouble finding a special someone, as we see him kissing a cute guy with a beard. Way to go, Patrick!
So it's official: We're in love with this show already, and it hasn't even started yet. But do you think you'll be watching the show, or are you not yet fully convinced?
And by the way, who else suddenly has a craving for a burrito?
