After a heartbreaking few months following the unexpected death of her boyfriend Cory Monteith, Glee star Lea Michele seems to be en route to recovery.

“Lea is doing much better,” a source close to the actress told People, adding that Lea took Cory’s death from a lethal mix of alcohol and heroin “so hard.”

While Cory’s death will likely be something Lea struggles with for years to come, the singer has been staying positive and throwing herself into her work. Lea has continued her work on Glee and has recently been busy preparing for the release of her upcoming solo album.

The actress spent the weekend shooting the music video for her album’s first single and didn’t hesitate to express her excitement on Instagram.

"SO EXCITED," Lea captioned a photo of the video's set. "SHOOTING MY VERY FIRST MUSIC VIDEO TODAY FOR THE FIRST ALBUM SINGLE!"

On Monday, it was back to work at Glee for the busy star.

“Happy Monday everyone,” she wrote on Twitter. “Early morning at #Glee today! Let’s get this work going!”

We’re relieved to hear that Lea is doing better these days. And while People’s source tells the magazine that the actress’s spirits are newly lifted, the insider says Lea isn’t looking for romance any time soon and is happy just to spend time with close friends.
