Glee pulled a major timeline switchup by ending Season 4 halfway through the school year, instead of at graduation. As a result, we had prom as early as Episode 2, and now, though we’re only at Episode 6, the McKinley High seniors are already gearing up to make some major college decisions.

With all the confusion surrounding the timeline, we’re wondering: When exactly are all the seniors going to graduate? Could it be a soon as a few episodes away, or will Glee slow things down in order to keep graduation later in the year?

Luckily, Chord Overstreet (Sam) has an answer. Well, sorta. “I have gotten up to Episode 10, so that’s as far as I know so far,” he told Clevver News at the premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

“And I think we graduate in, I think, 14 [...] I think, I could be wrong. But so from then on, I’m pretty sure that we’ll be in New York.” To be clear, Chord isn’t entirely sure if Season 5, Episode 14 will be graduation or not. The script for that episode has not yet been written, so plans could technically still change. But still, all indicators seem to be pointing toward graduation happening sometime within that general time frame.

Glee usually has 22 episodes, which means Sam and Blaine’s big NYC move will take place with still about seven new episodes of Season 5 left to go. (Insert squeals of excitement here.)

However, this does seem to confirm that Glee won’t be switching fully to NYC mid-season, as some reports have suggested.

Are you excited by the news, or were you sort of hoping to skip graduation this season and head straight to NYC? Head below to share your thoughts!
