On Saturday, November 30 just days after Thanksgiving — Paul Walker, star of the blockbuster Fast and Furious movie franchise, passed away in a fiery car crash. The news spread rapidly on Twitter, with countless celebrities taking to social media to express their shock and send their condolences.

A number of Glee stars took to Twitter to react to the sad news. Kevin McHale (Artie) was the first of the bunch. Around 6:30 p.m., barely a half hour after the original story broke, Kevin tweeted, “So sad to hear about Paul Walker. So young. Can't believe it.

About an hour later, Amber Riley (Mercedes) wrote, “My condolences to Paul Walker's family. Rest In Peace.” Later that night, Chord Overstreet (Sam) tweeted, “So sad to hear about Paul Walker. Such a tragedy! Sending prayers out to his family.

Just after midnight, Becca Tobin (Kitty) wrote, “So sad to hear the news about Paul Walker...my first ever Hollywood crush. My thoughts are with his friends and family.

Paul Walker was just 40 years old at the time of his death, but the Glee family knows all too well what it is like to lose a beloved actor so young. Just a little over four months ago, their beloved leading man Cory Monteith (Finn) passed away of an accidental heroin and alcohol overdose.
