Tonight, Grant Gustin made his debut on The CW’s Arrow as Barry Allen: an enthusiastic, unassuming tech geek who will soon become the familiar red spandex-wearing superhero known as The Flash.

The actor, who Glee fans loved to hate as scheming Warbler Sebastian, plays the exact opposite of a villain. His Arrow character is nerdy, awkward, and totally adorable. He’s clearly smitten with Arrow’s resident techie, Felicity Smoak, and their awkward flirting is just about our favorite thing. So it’s official: We ship them already.

Grant gets two more episodes of Arrow this season — that’s two more chances to man up and just kiss Felicity already — then it’s off to his very own show. The CW is filming a standalone Flash pilot, and if it gets picked up, Grant will officially be the star of his own CW superhero series.

But back to tonight’s episode. We got our very first look at Grant’s character, and as we were watching the December 4 episode, “The Scientist,” so were many of the actor’s former Glee co-stars.

Kevin McHale (Artie), who is close friends with Grant in real life, tweeted, “It's #Flash #BarryAllen @grantgust night on Arrow! So damn excited.”

Former castmate Samuel Larsen (Joe) wrote, “Everyone's eyes better be glued to their screens tonight for my buddy @grantgust 's debut on @CW_Arrow !!!! Give em hell kid.”

Even Glee’s casting director, Robert Ulrich, took to Twitter to send Grant his best. “Watch @grantgust on @CW_Arrow! He's going to be INCREDIBLE!!!!” he wrote.

What did you think about Grant’s big Arrow debut? Are you ready to just watch The Flash pilot already, or are you still a bit on the fence? Head below and sound off.
