Get ready for some major drama to go down during tonight's Glee! (That's right. Tonight. After a three month long break, the show returns will a new episode this evening, Tuesday, February 25.) Glee Season 5, Episode 9 is titled “Frenemies,” and that means many of our favorites are about to go head to head.
We’ve been hard at work tracking down spoilers for the upcoming show. Just which characters will be the titular “frenemies”? And is there any truth to the rumors that Kurt (Chris Colfer) will be cheating on his fiancé, Blaine (Darren Criss), with new NYC bandmate Elliott “Starchild” (Adam Lambert)? Here’s what we’ve been able to uncover so far.
The show wasn’t supposed to be back until spring of 2014, but Fox recently decided to switch things up and bring it back a few months early. Glee returns on February 25, and it’s moving from Thursdays at 9pm to Tuesdays at 8pm.
Prepare for battle! Rachel (Lea Michele) will face off with Santana (Naya Rivera). Kurt is going head-to-head with Elliott. And Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) will be feuding with her ex-boyfriend, Artie (Kevin McHale).
Rachel vs. Santana
And she's singing, "Don't Rain on My Parade," Rachel's signature song?! The. Nerve.
Let’s be real: No one makes a more perfect Fanny than Rachel.
Kurt vs. Elliott
Okay, let’s be clear. All we know for sure is that these two are singing a very suggestive and romantically-charged duet together. Whether or not it goes any further is unknown.
Oh, but there will be pole-dancing involved. So there’s that.
And Starchild is about to get a new look? Hmm. Interesting.
Tina vs. Artie
Can you believe Glee has already performed 600 songs?
It’s a pretty exciting landmark!
- “Don’t Rain on My Parade” from Funny Girl, performed by Santana
- The Darkness’ “I Believe in a Thing Called Love,” performed by Kurt and Starchild
- Kenny Loggins’ “Whenever I Call You Friend,” performed by Tina and Artie
- En Vogue’s “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It),” performed by Tina and Artie
- Sara Bareilles’s “Brave,” performed by Rachel and Santana
- Kelly Clarkson’s “Breakaway,” performed by Blaine, Artie, and Tina
Things get violent!
We've missed you, Adam Lambert.
But it looks harmless enough, right? Right??!
