The news on Glee’s 100th episode keeps coming, and it just keeps getting better! TVLine reports that long-absent cast member Dianna Agron (Quinn) will be returning for the landmark hour. You read that right: Dianna Agron is coming back. It’s really happening.

Glee’s 100th show will be Season 5 Episode 12, and will likely air on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. The announcement comes on December 5, just a day after show creator Ryan Murphy announced that another much-missed cast member, Heather Morris (Brittany), will also be returning.

In planning for the 100th episode, Ryan formally invited back all original cast members. Newly-crowned Dancing With the Stars champ Amber Riley (Mercedes) signed on almost instantly, and Mark Salling (Puck), Harry Shum Jr. (Mike) were quick to follow. However, both Heather and Dianna returning seemed much more up in the air.

Both actresses didn’t come back for Glee’s October 3 Season 5, Episode 3 tribute to the late Cory Monteith (Finn), a move that surprised many fans. At the tim, Heather was heavily pregnant with her son, Elijah, but many fans wondered why Dianna — whose character dated Finn at the beginning of the series — didn’t make the tribute.

Rumors began to fly that both Ryan Murphy and leading lady Lea Michele (Rachel) couldn’t stand Dianna, though none of these reports have been confirmed. Dianna told reporters she wasn’t asked back for the Cory tribute, while Ryan retorted that Di never asked him if she could take part in the first place.

Whatever actually went down, we’re glad to hear that Dianna will, in fact, be participating in the 100th episode. Quinn Fabray has been gone for almost a full season now and we’ve been missing the former Cheerio like crazy!
