What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Well, unless you’re recently-hitched Glee actress Dot-Marie Jones (Coach Beiste). In that case, what happens in Vegas stays permanently inked on your skin in all its bright-colored glory.

Dot and her longtime girlfriend, Bridgett Casteen, got engaged at Disneyland this October and were married in a surprise ceremony just a few days before Christmas. Then, two weeks later, the lovebirds headed off to Las Vegas to celebrate Dot’s 50th birthday.

The Emmy-nominated actress and her wife enjoyed a custom cake at Lavo in the Palazzo on Saturday, January 4, where they were joined by a number of friends, including former Glee actress Ashley Fink (Lauren Zizes), the Las Vegas Sun reports.

Right before Dot blew out her candles, she and Bridgett shared a kiss. Later, the newlyweds went under the needle for matching blackjack-themed tattoos. Now they’ll have a reminder of the trip that will stay with them a lifetime.

On January 7, Dot tweeted a photo of the colorful wrist tats, writing, “@bridgettamanda SOMETHINGS THAT HAPPEN IN VEGAS DONT STAY IN VEGAS THEY COME HOME WITH YOU!!!”

Bridgett quickly re-tweeted her post, and also tweeted, “Thank you @ksalwoski and @PalazzoVegas for another amazing trip! @dotmariejones birthday could not have been any better! Love you Keith!”

Tats off to the organizers of this whirlwind birthday trip! We have an inkling (okay, more than an inkling) that this was a birthday to remember. Congrats, Dot and Bridgett!
