We've got good news and bad news about Glee's upcoming 100th episode. The good news is that the original New Directions members will all reunite for a memorable scene in the episode! But the bad news is that you just might need a box of tissues handy to make it through the scene.
In the wee hours of January 23, Paris Barclay — who is directing Season 5, Episode 12: "100" — tweeted this ominous message about the episode:
Gulp. So what's the reason for the waterworks? Well, the photo he included might offer a clue, given that we can see the framed photo of Finn (Cory Monteith) sitting on the edge of the table. Perhaps the scene will involve the characters remembering him?
There might be other reasons for the scene to be an emotional one. After all, the episode will reportedly involve the McKinley grads returning to the school to say goodbye to Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison), as glee club is finally dunzo. So maybe hearing everyone's memories of the choir room are making Paris choked up.
And Glee costumer Roric Ruegsegger posted a photo (at right) of the cast filming that scene. "#glee #setlife #auditorium #100th," he captions it. It's great to see everyone back together, even if the pic is a bit blurry.
Are you excited for this scene? And what do you think will be so sad about it?
