We've been getting hints that Glee will be addressing Finn's (Cory Monteith) death in some way during the show's upcoming 100th episode. And it has now been confirmed that a key storyline in the episode will involve the show's characters continuing to grapple with his passing.
In Season 5, Episode 12: "100," the former New Directions members will head back to McKinley to say goodbye to the glee club, which is folding up. One Glee crew member had recently posted a photo (seen below at right) from the episode's filming of Finn's jersey hanging in the school's halls.
Now, the episode's director, Paris Barclay, tells Us Weekly about the pain that Cory's death has caused, along with how Finn's death will be covered in the episode. "I don’t think [Glee] could go much farther without continuing to talk about how [losing someone] hurts," Paris says.
"There is so much feeling there, and [Cory's death] affected the Glee family in such a profound way, and you can expect it to be dealt with in the 100th episode," he adds. "It definitely comes back and is dealt with in a significant way."
We loved how moving Glee's tribute was to Finn in Season 5, Episode 3: "The Quarterback," and we are sure that the 100th episode will be equally emotional.
Are you glad that Glee will address Finn's death in the episode?
