We've been anxiously awaiting the release of late Glee star Cory Monteith’s (Finn) final film, McCanick, which is one of two currently unreleased films that he completed before his tragic passing. Now, the film is finally hitting theaters.

Prior to his death of a drug overdose in July 2013, Cory had filmed a role as a drug addict — weird, right? — in the indie action flick. He also filmed a part as a store manager in the indie Canadian drama All the Wrong Reasons, which was released last year in Canada but has yet to appear on screens in the U.S.

But the wait is almost to see McCanick is almost over! After screening at last year's Toronto International Film Festival, the movie was picked up for distribution by Well Go, which will release the movie this Friday, March 21. Mark your calendars! The movie also stars World War Z's David Morse and Cloverfield's Mike Vogel.

It's not clear how many theaters the film will be released in, so it's possible that it might not play in your local cineplex. Also, the movie is likely to be a bit tough to watch, as Cory's character deals with addictions and is often on the wrong side of the law.

However, we're thrilled that the public can finally see a project that meant so much to Cory and that he gives an amazing performance in.

Do you plan to see McCanick?
