Having one all-NYC episode under its belt, Glee is going to take it to the next level with this week’s episode: Season 5, Episode 15 (“Bash”). Things are going to get equally dramatic and equally Broadway in this week’s episode, with some big numbers from popular musicals as well as an original song.

You’d better strap in for a dramatic episode, because this one is going to be a doozy. According to the synopsis, “Kurt (Chris Colfer) is the victim of an attack because of his sexual preference.” When you listen to the songs below, you’ll get a sense of the seriousness of the hour.

That being said, there’s also one upbeat song in the bunch, which probably has something to do with “Rachel (Lea Michele) [taking] the next step in committing to her role in Funny Girl.” She’s going to take a night off in order to prep for NYADA’s mid-winter evaluation. When Carmen Tibideaux (Whoopi Goldberg) makes her epic return, things don’t go well for our shining star.

The standout this week, however, will be Mercedes (Amber Riley), who just moved to NYC at the end of last week’s episode. She’s got two powerhouse ballads queued up for the April 8 ep — one of which is an original song.

Here’s the complete song list, along with the vocal performances:

“No One Is Alone” from Into the Woods featuring Rachel, Blaine, Kurt, and Sam

“Broadway Baby” featuring Rachel and Blaine

“Not While I’m Around” from Sweeney Todd featuring Rachel, Blaine, Sam, and Mercedes

“Colorblind” featuring Mercedes

“You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman” featuring Mercedes

“I’m Still Here” from Follies featuring Kurt
