With opening night of Funny Girl behind her, Rachel (Lea Michele) can finally breathe easy. Sort of. Yes, the New York Times declared Lima-born Rachel a “supernova”, but the pressure isn’t exactly off now that’s she’s got a glowing review to her name.

In next Tuesday’s Season 5, Episode 18: “The Back-Up Plan” Rachel is the talk of New York City. Thanks to her newfound fame she signs with a big talent agent and nabs an audition for a television pilot, even though her agent seems to think she has “a face for radio”.

Meanwhile, as we can gleam from the promo below, Kurt (Chris Colfer) is also making a name for himself when he is asked to perform for a wealthy socialite, played by the legendary Shirley MacLaine.

Apparently Kurt brings Blaine (Darren Criss) along for the fun, but his kind gesture backfires when this wealthy broad ends up being more impressed with the former Warbler. “You are unstoppable,” she tells him over a fancy lunch with no Kurt in sight.

We love that Blaine is finally getting some recognition of his own in the Big Apple, but we hate that it could come at the expense of his relationship with Kurt. Check out the complete promo below and tell us what you think!

Glee Season 5, Episode 18: “The Back-Up Plan” airs April 29 on FOX at 8 p.m. ET.
