We’ve known for a while now that Sue (Jane Lynch) and Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) are headed to New York City in tonight’s new episode of Glee — Season 5, Episode 17: “Opening Night” — to watch Rachel‘s (Lea Michele) big Funny Girl debut, but with Rachel beyond nervous about her first Broadway performance, a visit from Sue and Schue may be the last thing she needs.

Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive sneak peek of tonight’s (April 22) episode and, although Sue is on Rachel’s turf now, she’s still just as nasty as ever. Uh oh! After a hotel mishap with Schue — he booked a room with one king bed instead of two twins, which Sue declares is “adultery” — the former Cheerios coach barges into Rachel and Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) loft and announces her plans to spend the night.

Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz), who is also in town to support Rachel, Sam (Chord Overstreet), Mercedes (Amber Riley), Blaine (Darren Criss), and Kurt are all shocked by Sue’s arrival, which, as you may have guessed, is most detrimental to our soon-to-be Fanny Brice. “I have come  to watch Rachel Berry choke on her opening night,” Sue declares as Rachel announces she can hear her from inside her room.

Kurt and the others try to dissuade Sue from badmouthing Rachel because she’s already “freaking out,” but McKinley High’s current principal knows no mercy. Tina concludes the clip by stating that “Things could not possibly get any worse,” but to us that just sounds like a recipe for more disaster.

Will Rachel be able to overcome her fears and deliver a killer performance on opening night, or will Sue’s presence and negative energy push her over the edge and force her to crack? Head on over to Entertainment Weekly to check out the clip and then tell us what you think below!

Glee Season 5 airs Tuesday nights on FOX at 8 p.m. ET.
