If the synopsis for Glee Season 5, Episode 18 (“Back-Up Plan”) is any indication, Rachel’s going to be in some hot water when she puts her Funny Girl role in jeopardy by auditioning for a TV show. Come May 6, she’ll be feeling desperate to save her reputation — and as they say, desperate times call for desperate measures!

According to the official synopsis for Episode 19, Rachel hires Santana as her publicist in attempt to squelch the rumors she’s incited. (If you ask us, Santana will either be the greatest PR person in the world... or she’ll make matters even more terrible than Rachel could have imagined.)

Chris Colfer, who actually wrote the script for the episode, previously teased that it would involve “animals and the elderly.” It sounds like we’ll get the chance to see Kurt wear some green spandex pants, because he lands the lead role in Peter Pan — at a retirement home, no less! (We’re guessing the “animals” refers to the Darlings dog, Nana? She’s pretty elderly herself, if our Disney movie trivia serves us.)

Official Synopsis for Glee Season 5, Episode 19: “Old Dog New Tricks”
In an episode written by series star Chris Colfer, Rachel attempts to salvage her reputation among Broadway gossipers by hiring Santana as her publicist and creating a charity for rescue animals. Meanwhile, Kurt nabs the lead role in a retirement home production of Peter Pan.
