The time has come for Chris Colfer (Kurt Hummel) to get in the spotlight! While the talented NYADA student is getting left by the wayside by his fellow McKinley High School graduates, he’ll find his place at an assisted living home while Rachel (Lea Michele) suffers a major PR blunder in Season 5, Episode 19 (“Old Dog New Tricks”).

Here’s the synopsis: “In an episode written by series star Chris Colfer, Rachel attempts to salvage her reputation among Broadway gossipers by hiring Santana as her publicist and creating a charity for rescue animals. Meanwhile, Kurt nabs the lead role in a retirement home production of Peter Pan.”

That covers the episode’s drama, but what about the music? With a Madonna cover, we’re thinking Kurt is able to help his elderly friends — June Squibb, Tim Conway, and Billy Dee Williams — put some pep in their step. And that emotional performance of “Memory” from Cats? Hopefully Kurt will rebound and find his way in life!

Check out the songs from this week’s episode:

Werren Zevon’s “Werewolves of London” by Artie and Sam

Modern English’s “I Melt With You” by Mercedes, Rachel, and Sam

Madonna’s “Lucky Star” by Kurt and Maggie

Eddie Money’s “Take Me Home Tonight” by Kurt, Blaine, Artie, Santana, Mercedes, Sam, and Maggie

“Memory” from Cats by Kurt and Maggie
