Back in its heyday, Glee was the talk of Hollywood, and that unfortunately meant that anyone and everyone who appeared on the FOX dramedy was an easy target for tabloid fodder, scams, and so on and so forth. In fact, TMZ is reporting that one former Glee star recently filed a lawsuit against an individual and a fake production company after being swindled out of $30k. Yikes!

So which Glee actor was the victim of an unfortunate scam? Read on to find out!

Per TMZ, actor Josh Sussman (who played the ever-amusing Jacob Ben Israel on Glee) is suing Mikel Dusi and Gold Rush Pictures. Apparently Josh tried to make a movie with Mikel and his production company, even forking over the aforementioned $30,000 to help develop a film called Wally’s Revenge. Red flag number one?

Josh claims that Mikel promised to return Josh’s hard-earned Glee cash within 90 days (plus 20% interest) once the flick was fully financed, but he never did. To add insult to injury, Gold Rush Pictures has been defunct for over two years. Ouch.

According to Josh, now Mikel is not only refusing to return his money, but he “had the gall to demand another $50K if Sussman wants to buy out his interest.” If this had happened in the Glee universe it would most definitely be front page news in The McKinley Muckraker!
