Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy has made it very clear that both Naya Rivera (Santana) and Lea Michele (Rachel) will be returning for the show’s sixth and final season in 2015, and while we know Lea’s return is a lock, we won’t be convinced Naya is coming back until we see her on set, or better yet, on screen.

A few weeks ago, Naya reportedly had a dust up with producers (which may or may not have involved Lea in some way) and apparently got herself written out of the May 13 Season 5 finale. To add insult to injury, the writers chose to explain Santana’s absence from the season ender by saying that she was on a Yeast-I-Stat commercial shoot in the wheat fields of Iowa. In short, it’s not looking great for her.

But one actress who has high hopes of returning for Season 6 is Jane Lynch (Sue). “They had me come to Upfronts so I hope I’m coming back!,” Jane told HollywoodLife.com at the FOX Upfronts on May 12. “If they bring you to Upfronts, it’s usually a good thing.”

Interestingly enough, Naya was not at the Upfronts, but Jane, Lea, Darren Criss (Blaine), and Chord Overstreet (Sam) were all on hand to celebrate the network and the 2014-2015 television season.

Jane will likely be involved in the show’s last season in some capacity, but she remains in the dark about any possible cast shakeups. “I haven’t heard a thing,” she maintains.

But she does have plenty of thoughts and feels about Glee’s upcoming final season. “It’s going to be sad wrapping this up, and I guess I could start the mourning process now, but I don’t want to think about it,” she reasoned. “It’s sad — it’s been the best thing that’s ever happened to me.” Aww, Jane, you just made us tear up!
