Since Glee’s sixth and final season won’t be broadcast until early 2015 (as opposed to September, when it’s premiered in years past) we were under the impression that the cast would get a longer than usual summer hiatus. However, it looks like that isn’t the case, at least according to the show’s star, Lea Michele (Rachel).

Lea hosted a Q&A with her best friend Jonathan Groff earlier this month centered around her book, Brunette Ambition, but when the topic of conversation turned to Lea’s album, Louder, she gave us a Glee scheduling update. The fans were screaming for a tour, and while Lea maintained that touring the album is definitely in her future, her fans will likely have to wait for a full-scale tour until after Glee wraps for good.

“We did find out that we’re starting Glee a lot earlier than we expected this season,” she began. “Even though it won’t be airing until 2015 we’re starting early July, so my hiatus will be June and a little bit of July.”

Given the shorter than expected summer break, Lea said she won’t have much time over the next several weeks to promote the album outside of the U.S., but that’s hardly stopped her from planning a full-scale tour in the future.“I’m thinking right now there are two cities I’m hoping to get to in June to go overseas. Then we will finish Glee in the beginning of 2015, and then I’ll have time to do a real tour and start working on my second record either the end of this year or definitely the beginning of next year,” she told the cheering crowd.

We love a gal with a plan! Are you psyched for a Louder tour in the future, or do you prefer having Lea on Glee instead? Tell us what you think below!

Glee Season 6 is expected to debut in 2015.
