We’re still in the dark about much of what’s happening in Glee’s sixth and final season, but we do know that Season 6 won’t be kicking off until early next year, so it will likely have an abbreviated last run. One of the show’s stars, Jane Lynch (Sue), confirmed as much during an interview with The Associated Press to discuss her four-night cabaret in New York City. “We're going into a sixth season. I think it's going to be half a season,” she said. “I think we're going back to McKinley High. I think. I don't know any of this for sure. But that's the word on the street.”

We’re hoping that the whole season won’t be set in McKinley since last we saw Rachel (Lea Michele) she was headed to Los Angeles to film her pilot, but we trust what Ryan Murphy and his team have mapped out.

And although we haven’t gotten over the fact that Glee is coming to an end in a matter of months, Jane is quick to remind us that the FOX dramedy will leave behind an incredible legacy for generations to come. “I don't think you can underestimate truly how powerful this show has been and will continue to be: It's the place where you can go where you're celebrated for who you are. It's this safe refuge for kids,” she explains. “That's what we're all looking for. We're still in high school, a lot of us.”

For Jane personally, the show has changed her life, and career, in numerous ways. She reveals, “It was a total game-changer. They would not have asked me to do Annie if I weren't on Glee. At the time I was kind of known for the Christopher Guest movies. I was enjoying my career. I was happy doing guest spots here and there. But this really upped it.”

We’re confident that Jane will have a long and successful even after Glee is over, and she actually revealed that she admires a Glee guest star for how he’s handled his career. “Neil Patrick Harris,” she said when asked who she looks up to in the industry. “He's all over the place, but in a good way. There's a method in what seems to be the madness of him doing this and then doing that, hosting this and then doing that. I'm always watching Neil from the corner of my eye.”
