We may be going through Chris Colfer (Kurt) withdrawal now that Glee is in the midst of its longest hiatus ever (which may have just gotten even longer) but luckily for us, the 24-year-old actor will be returning to our television screens sooner than we thought!
No, Glee sadly isn’t making an early return to FOX, but Chris is appearing in an upcoming episode of Hot in Cleveland. We told you about his HiC guest spot back in April, and he was spotted filming his role on the TV Land comedy the following month after Glee’s fifth season had wrapped.
All we know about Chris’ Cleveland character thus far is that his name is Tony, and he’s Victoria’s (Wendie Malick) son. Thankfully the show’s Twitter account shared an on-set photo of Chris and fellow guest star Sam Daly back in May, and from what we can tell, it looks like Chris and Sam’s characters may be a couple. “Tony” has his arm around Sam’s character and it looks like he’s introducing the fella to mom Victoria.
Of course we’ll have to wait until Chris’ HiC episode airs to see if our theory is correct, but with a premiere date just announced we’re happy to tell you that the wait won’t be long! Per Zap2It, Chris’ installment of Hot in Cleveland — titled “Straight Outta Cleveland” — is scheduled to air on July 23 at 10 p.m. ET. The synopsis reads: “Victoria’s son visits; Joy and Mitch contemplate their compatibility.” Consider us intrigued!

Glee Season 6 is expected to debut in 2015.
