Wes Bentley tortured the tributes of The Hunger Games as Head Gamemaker Seneca Crane, and now the 35-year-old actor is tormenting Kathy Bates's character in the forthcoming American Horror Story: Freak Show, playing character named Eddie.
TVLine broke the news, touting that Wes will guest-star in Freak Show's two-part Halloween episode. The fourth season in the American Horror Story anthology, Freak Show centers on a sideshow of "unusuals" at a 1950s-era circus in Jupiter, Florida — led by a German ex-pat played by Jessica Lange.
Kathy is returning for the new season, as are Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe, Denis O'Hare, and Jamie Brewer — and Michael Chiklis is joining the series this go-round.
AHS usually reserves its scariest episodes each season for the week of Halloween, and it sounds like Freak Show will be no exception. (We already know that this season will feature a killer clown!)
This isn't the first time Wes has worked with AHS co-creator Ryan Murphy. He also appeared in Ryan's sexuality-exploring HBO drama pilot, Open — along with Michelle Monaghan, Scott Speedman, Anna Torv, and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
Here's looking forward to what Ryan and Wes dream up!
