With the one year anniversary of Cory Monteith’s (Finn) death on July 13 and the unexpected passing of Becca Tobin’s (Kitty) boyfriend, Matt Bendik, late last week it’s been an upsetting few days for the Glee cast, but we’re happy to tell you that now we have some happier news to share: Dot-Marie Jones is confirmed to reprise her role as Coach Beiste in Season 6!

Dot confirmed the joyous news herself via Twitter, writing, “I'M PROUD TO SAY THAT I WILL BE BACK FOR SEASON 6 AND I CANT WAIT TO START WORK! MISS MY PEEPS! #GLEE” on July 10. Season 6, Glee’s last, will be comprised of 13 episodes and will debut sometime in 2015. We’re not sure how Coach Beiste will fit into the storyline, but we know that the FOX dramedy’s last season will be about “getting back to its roots,” and we can’t wait to see what co-creator Ryan Murphy and Co. have in store.

So far we also know that Lea Michele (Rachel), Darren Criss (Blaine), Chord Overstreet (Sam), and Chris Colfer (Kurt) are on board for Season 6, despite a Twitter hacker trying to make us think otherwise. Naya Rivera(Santana) will also be part of the Season 6 cast, though the 27-year-old actress requested to be billed as a recurring guest star instead of a series regular. It’s a downgrade of sorts, but at least Naya will be back. Given the rumored blowout argument between Naya and the show’s producers at the end of last season, that wasn’t always a foregone conclusion.

Ryan has also said he’d love to see Heather Morris (Brittany) and Dianna Agron (Quinn) back in action on the show, but we’ll have to wait and see if he’s able to woo those actresses back to the Paramount lot for one last hurrah.
