Glee still has one (abridged) sixth and final season to go before it’s off the air for good, but already people are inquiring about the possibility of a reunion for the show down the road. Kevin McHale (Artie) recently chatted with RadioTimes.com about Glee’s end, and he admitted that he’s not quite ready to say goodbye to the show that made him a household name.

When asked if he was ready to say farewell to his character, Artie, Kevin replied, “In some ways yes, in some ways no. I can’t imagine not doing it — it’s going to be weird. I’ve been doing it for going on six years so that will be the biggest change when I don’t have to go there every day and get in my wheelchair,” he began.

Still, Kevin also admitted that he’s excited to see what his Glee-less future holds. He continued, “But at the same time, the show has given all of us amazing opportunities and we’ve gotten to experience a wide variety of once-in-a-lifetime, amazing things. All good things must come to an end. We knew two years ago it was going to end in the sixth season so we could mentally wrap our heads around it and I think we’re ready for it. It’s the right time.”

Likely making the end of the show a bit easier for some of the cast and fans alike, is the knowledge that Season 6 will be mostly about the core group of characters and that the show plans to get back to its roots. “It’ll be nice to end the show in a full circle kind of way where we all come back together. Because we worked our asses off at the beginning of that show, even just promoting it, and it’ll be a bittersweet thing to be coming to an end so it’ll be nice to all be together for it,” Kevin explained.

And how about that Glee reunion?

“There definitely won’t be anything soon because we’re still not done,” Kevin said, but don’t get your hopes up just yet! “We’ve always joked about when we’re fifty we’ll have a reunion tour, although nobody’s going to want us to sing ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ after that long. I definitely won’t rule out anything.”
