The Dalton Academy Warblers made their big return to Glee during Thanksgiving’s Season 4, Episode 7: “Dynamic Duets.” And that’s not the only time we’ll see them, either. The Warblers are the New Directions’s competition for Season 4 Sectionals, which means we’ll be seeing quite a lot of them during Season 4, Episode 8: “Thanksgiving.”
Yet, once the competition is over, there seems little reason for the Warblers to continue on the show. So is that really the end? Are we only getting two episodes with the Dalton boys this season?
Fear not, Warbler fangirls. You have not seen the last of the blue-blazered choir boys quite yet. On November 19, new Warbler Nolan Gerard Funk (Hunter) tweeted, “Doing a hysterical scene for @GLEEonFOX today... Can't wait for you guys to see it.”
The only problem is, it sounds like Grant Gustin (Sebastian) might not be joining him. Grant has been tweeting a lot lately about filming for his new gig on The CW's 90210, but we haven't heard a single thing about Glee! We admit it would be pretty hard for Grant to do both shows at once, but we still secretly wish he could have done Glee instead. The Warblers without Sebastian are like Christmas without candy canes. It's just not right!
Glee is just finishing up work on the Season 4 Christmas episode, and the show is currently beginning work on Season 4, Episode 11: “Sadie Hawkins.” Little is known about the episode so far, but Glee creator Ryan Murphy has shared that the McKinley High Sadie Hawkins dance will bring back Blaine‘s (Darren Criss) painful memories of getting beat up at a previous Sadie Hawkins dance after he attended it with another gay friend.
Blaine fled to Dalton to escape his tormentors. Now that his past is coming back to haunt him, will Blaine again turn to the Warblers for guidance and support? Whatever the situation surrounding their return, we do know one thing for sure: we haven’t seen the last of the Warblers.
