Damian McGinty (Rory) might not be a series regular on Glee this year, but he’s not exactly gone for good, either. Despite the fact that Glee executive producer Brad Falchuck told reporters at Comic-Con in July that "Damian is not back this year,” it appears that the show has changed its tune since then.

Back at Comic-Con, the only word on Damian was, “The second half of the season, who knows. Right now, he won't be in the first half of the season." Now, creator Ryan Murphy has revealed on Twitter that Damian will be back on the show as early as Thanksgiving!

When a fan tweeted on August 31 [sic], “@MrRPMurphy would Damien still be in glee?” Ryan responded, “Yes. Wait for Thanksgiving.”

He’s previously stated that other Mckinley-departed characters, such as Quinn (Dianna Agron), will also be back for the Thanksgiving episode. Sounds like it’s going to be quite the event!

So far, no word if Damian will be back for any more episodes after that. In any case, we’re just glad to hear he’s not gone for good! [Update: Damian later said that his return has not been confirmed just yet. We hope something works out so he can come back.]
