UPDATE: TV Line has announced that Blaine (Darren Criss), Brittany (Heather Morris) and Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) will be singing lead vocals.

It’s official: We now know that Glee will be performing “Call Me Maybe” during the Season 4, Episode 1: “The New Rachel Berry.”

However, other details about the performance are still being kept under wraps. We don’t yet know which character(s) will be performing Carly Rae Jepsen’s summertime pop hit, but  — as always! — we have a few guesses.

Since Darren Criss (Blaine) is the one who hinted that “Call Me Maybe” might be on Glee’s musical radar this season, we can’t help but wonder if he will be the one singing it.

However, looking at the latest Glee photos from New York City is giving us the sneaking suspicion that new guy Brody (Dean Geyer) and Rachel (Lea Michele) might be the ones to tackle this tune, instead.

On August 11, Dean tweeted, “NYC is amazing!! And filming my first musical number for glee with@msleamichele.. Rock and roll baby. Or I guess more like POP and roll :)” It’s not much to go on, but we’d say “Call Me Maybe” certainly qualifies as a pop tune.

Also, take a look at the way he’s singing to her during the August 11 filming. Will Brody — who we already know is “definitely interested” in Rachel and won’t give up on chasing her — taking on Carly Jae’s role in the Glee version of the song?

Call him, Rachel! Maybe. (Or don’t. Because we still aren’t ready to see you end things with Finn.)

Yet, as much as Rachel and Brody’s facial expressions seem to fit the song, we aren’t convinced they’ll be the only ones performing it. It’s always possible that Glee might be splitting the tune between both Lima and NYC. Blaine and the New Directions could sing part of it at Mckinley, while Brody and Rachel might perform the other half while prancing around New York City.

Who do you hope ends up singing this infamous summer tune? Vote below to sound off.
