Cory Monteith (Finn) just stepped out in public for the first time after checking himself out of rehab, and the Glee star has just spoken out on Twitter — breaking a 30-day silence.

A rep for Cory revealed on March 31 that the Glee star had entered rehab for substance abuse issues. The 30-year-old had struggled with drugs and alcohol in the past, and completed rehab once before, almost ten years ago.

Now, at almost exactly the one month mark, Cory has checked out of rehab and made his first public appearance. On Friday, April 26, photographers spotted him at LAX airport in Los Angeles, appearing to be headed out of the country on a vacation with his co-star girlfriend Lea Michele (Rachel).

In the photos, the Glee star couldn’t seem to wipe his huge grin off of his face. He and Lea were both beaming the entire time they walked through the airport. Add that to the smiley face emoticon in Cory’s tweet, and we’d say it’s pretty safe to assume he’s feeling quite happy right now.

Only 15 minutes after Cory's tweet, Lea, too, took to Twitter to share her thanks with fans.

Because of his rehab stay, Cory will not appear in the last two episodes of Glee Season 4. However, the show has stated that they are excited to see him return, so it sounds like Finn Hudson will most certainly be back for Season 5!
